How does the tool work?
In this tutorial, we will search for the charger for the Asus X540UA laptop model.
To find the model of your computer, simply flip it; a sticker with the model and serial number is attached to the bottom case (the bottom of the laptop that is in contact with your desk).
It is on the homepage of our site that our tool is located.
Click on the first field (step 1) My Asus device type: a side window will slide from left to right, revealing the different product families (laptop, tablet, desktop...) -> choose laptop
Choose the large series of your Asus laptop model by clicking in the field (step 2).
The large series is the letter at the beginning that forms the name of your model (e.g., (X)540, (E)210, (U)X303, (F)X505...)
-> Choose the X series
By selecting the X series, all the X series of Asus laptops will appear. Choose the series of your laptop, in this case -> Choose the series of your model (step 3): X(540)
Now, just choose the exact model (step 4) with the suffix of your series X540(UA) -> Click on your model to open the presentation sheet of your model.

When the presentation sheet of the model is displayed, you have access to all the available parts for your model.
You can filter the charger family in the list of families of parts on the left (step 5); this filtering will display the chargers compatible with your model.
In this case, the CHARGU90W (multi-tip) and CHARG45WUX305 (and the version with American plug), CHARG45WTP410 (and the version with American plug), CHARG45WVB (boxed version with a two-year warranty).
The CHARG45WUX305 and CHARG45WTP410 chargers have the same compatibilities; only the design varies slightly.
