- 90% isopropyl alcohol (ideal for quick evaporation)
- And a tube of thermal paste (we recommend the Artic Silver)
Start by removing the bottom case of the laptop to gain access to the inside of the computer. Disconnect the battery, and depending on the model, you will need to carefully identify the access to the thermal module and the motherboard.

Clean these two parts with isopropyl alcohol, being careful not to leave any residue of the old thermal paste that could cause a short circuit on the motherboard.
Once the two parts are completely cleaned, apply a small amount of thermal paste (there is no need to apply too much) on each heat spreader. Screwing the thermal module back in will evenly spread the paste between the two pieces.
For assembly, a chronological order must be respected to ensure that the paste spreads as well as possible on all different parts of the heat spreaders. A numbering is indicated on the screw threads of the thermal module. After completing this operating, you can reconnect your battery, reassemble your bottom case, and turn your laptop.
