The CR2032 battery or CMOS battery is used in laptops to power the BIOS or real-time clock of a device in standby mode. To replace the battery, you should:
- Turn off and unplug your PC.
- Open your PC.
- Locate the position of your battery.
The CR2032 battery looks like a round watch battery.
- Remove it by pressing the button next to it.
- Install the new battery, paying attention to the orientation. The + sign is generally positioned upwards.
