ROG Ally: Bottom disassembly and reassembly

Start by reading the pre-repair checklist.

Screws you will need:

O + M2.0 X 16.5L (5 pieces)

O + M2.0 X 16.5L (1 piece quick-release screw)

Attention:

The system power will be automatically cut off during the removal of the bottom cover. To restore power, securely reattach the bottom cover of the ROG Ally and connect the charger to your ROG console once maintenance is complete. Ensure your console is properly stabilized and that the buttons are protected from any pressure during disassembly.

  1. Align and place the ROG Ally on the maintenance tray with the back cover facing up.
  2.  Remove the screws from the bottom of the ROG Ally console
  3. Loosen the release screw without removing it (red)visbottom-ROG-Ally.jpg
  4. Use the plastic blade to open the bottom. Important: Avoid sliding the plastic blade along the side of the bottom to prevent damage.
  5. Remove the back cover

Installation of the bottom cover of the ROG Ally

Important : The system power will be automatically cut off during the removal of the bottom cover. To restore power, securely reattach the back cover and connect the charger to your ROG Ally once the operation is complete.

  1. Align and place the bottom cover back in position
  2. Tighten the release screw (red)
  3. Secure the bottom cover using the screws (green) you removed earlier.
