Your ROG Xbox Ally X won’t turn on or does not respond when you press the power button.
Verification Steps
1. Check the Power Supply
- Plug the console in using its original charger
- Make sure the cable is properly connected
- Let it charge for at least 15 to 20 minutes
A completely drained battery may prevent immediate startup.
2. Force a Restart
- Hold the Power button pressed for 10 to 15 seconds
- Release it, then press again to turn it on
This helps to clear any potential system bug.
3. Check for Signs of Life
- Is the LED lighting up?
- Does the fan start?
- Is the screen remaining black?
If the console seems active but the screen stays black, it might be a display issue.
4. Test with Another Charger
- Use a compatible USB-C charger (65W recommended)
A faulty charger can prevent startup.
5. Let the Device Cool Down
- If the console has overheated, wait 10 to 20 minutes
- Then try to turn it on again
Additional Checks
- Remove any connected accessories (dock, USB, SD card)
- Try starting without peripherals
- Check that the Power button is not stuck
